You loved these ZAJO products the most in 2021!

After a busy and crazy year 2020, 2021 was calmer. It was a year of stability, setting new milestones and hard, invisible work on the vision ahead. But most importantly, we have strengthened our relationship with you, we have tried to do even more for you and we have made your satisfaction our highest priority. We have been rewarded for these efforts, for which we thank you very much.

This year, as well as last year, we still meet many of you in the mountains with a hare on your jacket. Subjectively, we even feel like there are more and more of you. We are very happy to talk to you, we are very happy to meet you, we also listen to your feedback with pride and also humility. And we quietly believe that a new community of people is emerging in the mountains that shares our vision - to bring as many people from the city to nature, to show them what they are missing among the gray concrete walls and to provide them with quality, accessible and safe equipment for their experiences, in which all returns home will be happy.

Thus, a year ago, we looked at what products you were most interested in in 2020. A little has changed in the rankings, especially the tights we started working on in 2020, and after the incredible feedback that came ("the best tights I've ever had"), we decided to take care of them in 2021 fully. The absolute winners are, just like last year, our multifunctional unitubes and headbands, which we presented at the end of the year in new, fresh designs, but for understandable reasons we missed them from the ranking, as well as socks, hats or other accessories.

These are the winners of 2021.

1. Kerala tights

Kerala's tights were not ranked last year and yet here we are. We introduced this model in 2020 in black color with little soul and no significant expectations, but when it dusted off from the shop in a few days and we began to receive feedback that they are incredible and you must have new colors, we started to listen.

Today, about 17 months later, we have Kerala tights in seven colors and they become the basis for our entire expanding tights collection. Who would have said that just recently?

2. Merino T-shirts Bjorn/Elsa

Last year's winner fell one place lower, but it was extremely tight. We first introduced the Merino collection six years ago and it has long been one of our flagships. The Bjorn and Elsa models are a lighter version of our merino collection, and as is typical of the merino, you love them especially because of their breathable properties and the fact that they do not smell even after several days of wearing. They fit perfectly on the body, their minimalist look is also suitable for casual wear and in our efforts to offer quality as affordable as possible we believe that this price is just a steal.

3. Organic cotton t-shirts Bormio/Corrine

Some T-shirts are uncomfortable, then there are comfortable t-shirts. Then nothing for a long time. Then the whole valley of nothing. And then there are the Bormio and Corrine T-shirts. These organic cotton t-shirts are more like casual clothes or suitable for easy hikes, as the cotton is very breathable and comfortable, but not entirely designed for performance, but it has nevertheless found its way into your wardrobes.

Is it that comfort? Or a design inspired by the Slovak mountains, where our graphic designer Štefan put his best into the work? Or something else? It's hard to say, but the cotton T-shirts, which we also have in the kid's version, have remained your favorite, just like last year. Although they were overtook by Kerala tights, they overtook merino underwear for a change, so they defended third place this year.

4. Bjorn/Elsa merino wool underwear

We have already talked about the properties of merino wool. However, if these properties are ideal for a t-shirt, this is even more true for underwear. Breathability is an absolutely essential feature of underwear, the more, the better. We are glad that more and more people are aware of the importance of quality underwear, especially in hiking and sports, so Bjorn and Elsa merino underwear have remained among your favorites.

Every single piece of clothing is important in hiking, each layer has its specific and important purpose, thanks to which your experience will be as pleasant as possible. But, if we should choose one layer that you really can't underestimate, it's underwear.

5. Fleece jackets Raven/Malmo

Fleece jackets are among your favorite middle layer from our portfolo - they are pleasantly warm, they are soft and walking in them is like being in a warm hug all day. Of our three models, each with its own female and male variants, your favorite is our most affordable version, but surprisingly just in front of our flagship - our best fleece jackets Glacier and Cortina.

Although Raven and Malmo jackets are the most affordable, they are truly of first-class quality - the excellent POLARTEC® material is the best proof of that. Great for colder weather as a top layer, for winter or rain as a middle layer. But also for such homemade lounging.

And if you have an ecological soul, you will probably be pleased that these jackets are made from recycled materials, specifically PET bottles.

6. Hybrid jackets Rossa/Arth

We will say it directly - if we had an infinite amount in stock, the Rossa jacket would probably tear this ranking apart. This jacket makes us very happy and at the same time it is a regular concern - it always sells out extremely quickly and often we have to react to some disappointed responses that you missed it again. We even encountered for the first time this year the unexpected side effect that this jacket began to be re-traded on bazaars and in Facebook groups.

The jacket is great in any case, especially in spring or autumn, but it will last even in winter if you move enough. It is not too warm so as not to suffocate you as you move, nor too thin so that you do not feel cold in it. Her male equivalent Arth is also very popular, yet it's not a Rossa jacket.

7. Fleece jackets Glacier/Cortina

Along with Kerala tights, the newcomer in this ranking is a pleasant surprise for us - we consider Glacier and Cortina fleece jackets to be one of the best products in our portfolio, they are made of absolutely excellent materials used by the US military and they managed to be a part of several successful Himalayan expeditions.

So why is this a surprise? After all, it is also the "Créme de la Créme" of our offer and we therefore offer these jackets with a price tag for which one would buy three Raven / Malmo jackets, which are also an excellent choice. However, it is all the more pleasant to know that you trust us and do not hesitate to reach for the top of our offer. Really great feeling and thank you for that!

Hardshell or softshell? What are the differences and what should I choose?
